Fraudulent Nutrition Company Pays $ 1,375,000 Due to Lawsuit

Phoenix, Arizona – A nutrition company known as Central Coast Nutraceuticals, Inc. pays a fine of for the settlement of the consumer fraud lawsuit filed against it. Terry Goddard, an Attorney General, filed the lawsuit after receiving numerous complaints about the said company. The complaints were mostly due to its deceptive method of marketing by making use of the now well-known Acai Berry Supplements.

Based from the consumers, the company’s website offers a low-cost Acai product available for purchase. However, there are many hidden additional charges in the product offered by the company. Consumers are then shocked by the amount they are billed for. Furthermore, transactions with the company cannot be canceled once executed and will include the consumer who purchased the low-cost Acai food supplement to its monthly subscribers receiving and paying for products they do not want. Consumers tried to contact the company for explanation but were simply ignored by its management. No calls were returned and the CCN Company answered no emails of the victim.

By the December of 2008, a consumer fraud lawsuit was filed against the company and by June 25, 2009, the company was proven guilty and was asked to pay the settlement fine.
